Common questions
What percentage of donations do you keep?
3% platform fee, plus whatever Stripe charges for payment processing (2.9% plus $0.30 on most cards). That's it. No monthly fees, no setup fees, no long-term contracts.
Can donors give without buying a ticket?
Yes. Every event gets a standalone donation page in addition to the ticket page. Share the donation link directly in your newsletter, on social, or wherever makes sense.
Is this tax-deductible for donors?
Assessment Sync is the payment facilitator, not a charity. Tax deductibility depends on your organization's 501(c)(3) status. If you are a registered nonprofit, donations are deductible to donors per IRS rules. We provide donor receipts for your records.
Can I switch from GoFan, Givebutter, or Classy?
Yes. Set up a new event in under 10 minutes. Past donor lists can be imported on request. Your Stripe payout timing stays the same since funds flow through your own Stripe account, not ours.
Do I need to be a nonprofit to use this?
No. Schools, booster clubs, PTOs, sports teams, community groups, and individuals can all run fundraisers. If you can open a Stripe account, you can use Assessment Sync.
